Meeting today in Rome between the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Gabriella Murgia, the other colleagues of the Agricultural Policy Commission of the Conference of Regions, the Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani, the Undersecretary Vannia Gava, and the Minister of Agricultural Policies, Stefano Patuanelli. The objective is to take stock of the serious crisis affecting the agricultural sector.

"It was a positive meeting - explained the representative of the Giunta Solinas - from the ministers we found the utmost willingness to deal with all the issues on the table as soon as possible. We highlighted the difficult moment that the entire agricultural sector is experiencing, given that the sharp rise in energy costs was compounded by the heavy effects of the war in Ukraine which are creating market turbulence and serious problems in the supply of raw materials ".

The Commission has made some proposals, from the extraordinary contribution for the sector to the postponement of the new CAP, from the reduction of excise duties to the release of all suspended payments. And again the moratorium and debt restructuring, the chronic criticalities linked to large carnivores and ungulates, the difficulties recorded in the fishing sector, the incentives for companies to simplify the implementation of the use of alternative energy sources, the crisis of dairy and arable sectors, the needs of a new calibration of the NRP, the temporary framework.

"Here - added the commissioner Murgia - we have also brought the specific requests of the agricultural and livestock companies and fishermen of Sardinia, reiterating the need for an extraordinary intervention by the State, to support in particular the companies in the most disadvantaged areas, and the request for an immediate release of the export of Sardinian pork ".

"Together with all the Councilors of Agriculture we are already at work to deliver to the Conference of Regions a document with the priorities to be put to the Government to which we will ask for answers in a very short time", the conclusion.
