Three and a half years after what has been renamed the "milk war", the Sardinian shepherds organize a new mobilization and will meet on 12 October at 10.30 in Tramatza for an extraordinary assembly. The intent, announced the spokesmen of the shepherds without flags Mario Carai, Fabio Pisu, Gianuario Falchi, Nenneddu Sanna, Antonio Doa and Gianluigi Argiolas , is to "discuss all together the actions to be taken to protect the sector".

The costs , they point out, " are now unbearable ", and trade associations and politics "totally absent". This, they explain, "is the time to decide whether to give up and abandon everything or to assert ourselves and continue to carry on our sectors as our ancestors did, thus preserving our millennial history to ensure that our children can continue to follow these activities with dignity. Come on pastors, let us all unite ", is their appeal.

In addition to "the exclusion of the sheep and goat sector from the ecosystem 1 level 2 of the CAP , the lack of convergence of direct payments, there is also the insult to the resources of the RDP where Sardinia will receive 115 million euros less than in the previous programming and the almost total exclusion of the sheep and goat sector for which just 11 million euros were allocated for the entire sector (just over 1 euro each) for the funds of the crisis resulting from the war between Ukraine and Russia - the shepherds observe -. that had been allocated were not paid to many Sardinian companies ".
