In anticipation of the municipal elections, scheduled for 28 and 29 May, Tortolì expresses a mayor in Lombardy. It is Adriano Piras, 45 years old , who today was confirmed at the helm of Mezzanino, a small town of 1,300 souls in the Oltrepò Pavese .

There was a turnout of 60 per cent at the polls, with 90 per cent of preferences .

« The dedication is for the Sardinian people and, in particular, for my Tortolì where I return as soon as I can », were the first words of Piras, who headed the only list in the field: "Mezzanino in grande".

Profession restaurateur, he lives in the hamlet of Tornello with his wife Elena and his children, Manuel and Maya. « Already during the first mandate I had the idea of formalizing a twinning with the Municipality of Tortolì . Then, also due to the pandemic, the procedure stalled and now it will be one of my first goals. I am carefully observing the evolution of the Tortolì electoral campaign and I will wait for the election of the new mayor with whom I will immediately contact to reopen the twinning issue».

From the polling stations, Piras' group moved to its own restaurant, the Angelo restaurant, on the Mezzanine. Waiting for the mayor, among others, also the Sardinian singer Pago .
