A2 women's volleyball, three direct clashes in the queue: salvation challenges for Hermaea Olbia until the end of the year
The first match will be against Cinderella Costa Volpino on Sunday
Macerata, Mondovì, Marignano and Cremona: Hermaea Olbia did not gain anything against their opponents from the top of the table.
The exploit against Montecchio, defeated at the GeoPalace 3-1 last November 18th as leaders of Group B of the A2 women's volleyball, had suggested that Dino Guadalupi's team was finally recovering, after the difficult start to the season, and that if he could also play it against more equipped opponents. Instead, in the last four rounds there have been just as many defeats, and on Sunday at home against the Cinderella Costa Volpino the Gallura players are playing a lot , being - among other things - at risk of catching and/or overtaking with 10 points in the standings and just 2 ahead on the Bergamo freshman. For the record, last year at this time, Hermaea were only sailing in relatively calmer waters, with 13 points after 11 days and 5 consecutive defeats. But at least he “saw” the poule promotion.
Today, however, 12 days have already passed, so not only is the average points worse, but so is the position in the standings, where a change is urgently needed. There are three races left in the winter break against rivals that are on paper within reach - Costa Volpino, Offanengo and Picco Lecco - but between now and December 28th they will all be head-to-head clashes not to be missed. Because the worst looms behind us, while direct salvation is at 8 points.
