A tragic and mysterious end on the Terralba ring road. But the first definitive answers regarding the death of Claudio Manca, the 49-year-old found dead in a canal, could come as early as Tuesday from the autopsy. Currently, the Prosecutor's Office has opened a case against unknown persons for vehicular homicide, but the investigation is ongoing, with no hypotheses ruled out.

The alarm was raised shortly after 10 a.m. Friday when a man foraging for asparagus on the road leading to Arcidano noticed a bicycle in the canal and a body next to it. It took him just moments to realize that the person was showing no signs of life and call for help. The emergency medical service doctor could only pronounce the deceased dead: no visible signs of injury other than head injuries, presumably from the impact.
