A 19-year-old Inter fan from the Viking group has been arrested by the Digos. He is accused of throwing the firecracker that stunned goalkeeper Emil Audero during Cremonese-Inter last Sunday .

This is not the same fan from Romagna hospitalized, who was in possession of another firecracker that exploded in his hand. The 19-year-old was arrested on a deferred flagrante delicto warrant, ordered by Milan's on-duty prosecutor Francesco Cajani.

In the DIGOS investigation, thanks also to the analysis of images from the stadium's video surveillance system cross-referenced with those carried out by the Forensic Police, investigators were able to identify "the perpetrator of the firecracker, who was subsequently placed under 'deferred arrest within 48 hours of the incident,' as required by the legislation combating sporting violence."

The 19-year-old is believed to be "part of the Inter ultras." He is believed to belong, specifically, to the Vikings group of the Nerazzurri fans, but has no criminal record related to the Milan Prosecutor's Office's notorious "double-curve" investigation. He was reportedly arrested in Milan.

The Minister of the Interior has ordered a ban on travel for Nerazzurri fans until 23 March 2026, "as well as a ban on the sale of tickets for the same matches to residents of Lombardy" .

The measure, informs the Ministry of the Interior, "is aimed at guaranteeing the protection of public order and safety and at preventing the repetition of episodes that could compromise the regular running of sporting events".

The AC Milan-Inter match on March 8, 2026, is excluded from the measures, given that there will be no fan movements.
