In 2025 , Sardinian families could be hit by a new storm of price increases similar to those suffered first with the Covid epidemic and then with the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine. Experts have been announcing it for some time, convinced that the price of gas will soar so much that it will drag down with it, in a vortex of increases, bills, fuel, food, insurance and so on and so forth.

Russia will definitively close the gas pipeline taps, forcing Europe to look elsewhere for fuel and pushing its price to its highest level in months. Hence the disastrous forecast for bills, with increases of up to 18% in the next quarter . "We are faced with pure and simple speculation," says Giuliano Frau, leader of Adoc in Sardinia, without hesitation. "If these increases are predictable so far in advance, why has nothing been done to avoid them? And if before there were pandemics and wars that could justify the price increases, today no one understands why we need to tighten our belts even more."

Federconsumatori drew up a “war bulletin” a few days ago. “In addition to the increases in the energy sector,” it explained, “there are also increases in the food, insurance, school, and catering sectors.” All of this, including health care costs and various utilities for water and waste, for a predicted bloodbath of over 900 euros in a year .
