The 68th edition of the international song festival for children was a Zecchino d'Oro with a strong Sardinian influence. The winner was "Ci pensa il vento," sung by Emma , a 9-year-old girl from Monza. The jury was particularly impressed by the lyrics, written by Don Francesco Marruncheddu , a priest from Oristano, current parish priest of the Church of San Giovanni Bosco.

The song, composed by Lodovico Saccol , a festival veteran, speaks of hope and peace: " Even if you can't see it, the wind does so many things for us. It dries the clothes hanging out to dry and the tears on our faces, it turns the pages of books, it brings pollen and songs. And sometimes, if you stop to listen, you'll feel peace blowing beyond borders, while flags of many colors flutter in the sky."

On the final evening, hosted by artistic director Carlo Conti (broadcast live on Rai 1 and RaiPlay), the star of Emma Cau , a five-year-old girl from Capoterra , also shone. Her song, "Disco," placed fourth.

As always, all the young artists were accompanied by the Antoniano "Mariele Ventre" Choir, directed by Margherita Gamberini.
