Luca Zaia, president of Veneto, is the most popular Italian governor, followed by Massimiliano Fedriga of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

This is what emerges from a survey by Swg which drew up the “ranking” of the most loved governors .

The two members of the Northern League confirm the results of 2024 between March and May 2025: when asked how effective they consider Zaia's work, 70% of those interviewed answered "very" or "quite a lot"; for Fedriga the percentage was 64%. Third is Proietti, the first centre-left governor in this ranking, with 53%.

As for the governor of Sardinia , Alessandra Todde, she is placed in the second half of the ranking, in eleventh place, with an approval rating of 37%.

Scrolling through the rankings, after the trio Zaia, Fedriga, Proietti, in fourth place we find the Forza Italia member Roberto Occhiuto (Calabria) at 52% but significantly increasing (+6%) compared to 2024. Fifth is Vincenzo De Luca , PD governor of Campania who, although obtaining the same result as Occhiuto, 52%, is down 4 points compared to last year.

In sixth place is Eugenio Giani (PD, Tuscany), with 47% (+6% compared to 2024). The newly elected Michele de Pascale (PD, Emilia-Romagna) obtains 45%; Alberto Cirio (FI, Piedmont) follows with 42% (-3%). Vito Bardi (FI, Basilicata) is at 39% (-4%) as is Marco Bucci (centre-right, Liguria) at 39%.

At 37%, as mentioned, Alessandra Todde , with the same percentage as Francesco Acquaroli (FdI, Marche), who rises by one point.

Again: Attilio Fontana (Lega, Lombardy) is lower (35%, -3%). Same value for Michele Emiliano (Pd, Puglia) who however records a decrease of 4%. Always at the bottom stable Marco Marsilio (FdI, Abruzzo) at 35%, penultimate Francesco Rocca (FdI, Lazio) at 31% but growing by 2%. Last, at a distance, Renato Schifani : the FI governor of Sicily is at 25%, decreasing by 2%.
