Rescue operations have been underway since last night to deal with the consequences of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. The city was hit by North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircons, and guided aerial bombs. It was a brutal attack, calculated to inflict maximum damage, particularly to civilian infrastructure . Unfortunately, there have currently been six deaths and nineteen injuries in the city.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X.

"My condolences to their families and loved ones. Rescue workers are continuing to put out a fire in one of the affected areas," Zelensky added.

In Kiev, a missile attack damaged an infectious diseases hospital and several businesses: "Drone attacks continue practically daily in our frontline communities. In Kherson and Kharkiv, electrical substations were hit overnight, causing power outages. All utilities are working to restore power to households."

The Donetsk, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv regions were also hit. In addition to missiles, more than 120 drones, most of them jet-powered, called "Shahed," were used against Ukraine.
