Very high tension in the Middle East. While the clashes in Gaza between the Israeli army and Hamas continue, another front is becoming increasingly heated: Yemen, where the Houthi rebels operate, who - like the Lebanese Hezbollah - support the cause of the Palestinian militiamen.
From what we understand, a rocket launched by the Houthi rebels yesterday hit a ship flying the Norwegian flag in the Ba el-Mandeb Strait, which separates the Arabian Peninsula from Africa.
This was reported by the US army, according to which the chemical tanker "Strinda" was hit by a cruise missile launched from a rebel-controlled area of Yemen. A fire broke out on board and the American destroyer USS Mason arrived to help the ship.
The attack caused no casualties.
In recent days the Yemeni Houthis had threatened to be ready to strike every ship heading towards Israeli ports "if food and medicines are not allowed to enter the besieged Gaza Strip".
