"He had alleged ties to members of terrorist organizations." This is why the White House justified denying entry to Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan.

The referee was one of 52 match officials selected by FIFA for the World Cup. Last weekend, he traveled to Miami to participate in a training camp with his colleagues ahead of the tournament.

“Compromising information has been uncovered, including association with suspected members of terrorist organizations, which makes the traveler ineligible for entry to the United States under the Immigration and Nationality Act,” a White House official told the New York Times, without specifying which organizations.
