Now it's up to Moscow to take a step forward, the meeting in London will be decisivePer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Kiev is “90 percent in agreement with President Trump’s peace plan presented this week in Paris,” Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov told U.S. officials, the New York Post reported, citing a senior Washington official.
The question now is whether Moscow will join. “Next week in London, we want to make a decision for a full and comprehensive ceasefire,” the official said, stressing that “the intent is then to have (discussions) with the Russians and then say, ‘OK, this is your best and final offer,’ to find out where both sides stand.”
The Ukrainian decision comes as US President Donald Trump warns that "without a breakthrough on Kiev we will withdraw, it is not our war". In fact, the United States, after the (failed) goal of reaching a truce in Ukraine by Easter, have made it clear that if the negotiations between the Russians and the Ukrainians are not unblocked somehow - whatever the cost - they are ready to withdraw from the negotiations.
