During a cabinet meeting, US President Donald Trump called the current international situation “a disaster” and stressed that he has already resolved eight conflicts in the past.

"This would be the ninth war, and our people are in Russia right now to see if we can resolve this situation. It's not an easy situation, let me tell you, it's a disaster," Trump said, as reported by The Guardian.

The president also added that, if he had been leading the country when the conflict broke out, "this would never have happened, not even in your dreams."

His words come at a time of heightened international tension, as the United States seeks to monitor and influence developments on the ground.
