Two dead after plane and fire truck collide at New York airport

An Air Canada aircraft reportedly collided with a fire truck traveling at high speed to address a runway emergency. The impact completely destroyed the aircraft's front end, killing the pilot and co-pilot, and injuring two others.

While the investigation is ongoing, all flights at one of the world's most important airports have been suspended , the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has decided. The New York Emergency Management Authority has warned residents to "expect cancellations, road closures, traffic delays, and emergency personnel."
