The Trump administration's battle against wind turbines, which the current US government deems "expensive and ineffective," continues . And in his campaign against renewable energy speculation, the US president is celebrating what he calls a new "major victory."
“My administration just scored a major victory in Pennsylvania . The Department of Commerce partnered with Governor Josh Shapiro, who has now agreed to keep open two beautiful, clean coal plants in Indiana and Armstrong counties,” the Washington leader wrote on his social media platform Truth.
Initial plans for the two power plants in question were supposed to close in 2028, but ABC reports that " growing energy demand due to the proliferation of data centers in Pennsylvania has changed the outlook for the energy market." Hence the decision to change the plans and keep them open.
“Fortunately, we reached an agreement to ensure these plants don’t get shut down,” Trump commented. He added: “Radical left-wing fanatics wanted to get rid of these wonderful plants in favor of wind farms, which kill birds and are both expensive and ineffective . We will never allow that!”
