A trade deal with Canada is "very difficult" after Prime Minister Mark Carney announced his intention to recognize a Palestinian state.

The position comes from US President Donald Trump, who is critical of the neighboring country's stance on Israeli aggression. This stance is shared, among others, by some European states (except Italy).

"Wow. Canada just announced its support for a Palestinian state," Trump, who recently met with Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote on Social Media. " It's going to be very difficult for us to get a trade deal with them. Oh Canada!!!" he added.
