15% tariffs and EU investments in the US worth 600 billion dollars.

"We've reached a massive agreement , one we've been working on for months." This is how Donald Trump announced the agreement between Washington and Brussels, after a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen in Scotland.

The President of the European Commission confirmed her satisfaction, speaking of a "trade agreement with the United States that could be the most important ever."

The two leaders also agreed that the agreement will "restore stability" and, according to Trump, will "bring Europe and the United States closer together" as it is a sort of "partnership."

Regarding steel and aluminum, Trump added, "nothing will change" because "it's an issue that won't be changed."

Under the agreement , the European Union will purchase $750 billion in energy and "a huge amount of military equipment," Trump further explained.

"I think it's positive that there's an agreement, but without seeing the details, I can't make a good judgement," Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's first comment after the agreement was reached.
