«Ukraine is ready for talks with Russia at a certain stage if Moscow is ready to negotiate in good faith».

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this while meeting his counterpart Wang Yi in Guangzhou, southern China.

Currently, "we do not see such preparation on the Russian side", added Kuleba, according to what was reported by the Kiev Foreign Ministry.

The Ukrainian side "is willing and ready to conduct dialogue and negotiations with Russia", said Kuleba, in the reading provided by the Beijing media, but "the negotiations should be rational and substantive and aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace ».

The Kremlin's response was ready, through Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, who declared that the Ukrainian Foreign Minister's openness to a dialogue "is in tune with Moscow's position".

However, Peskov also added that "the important thing is the details", which Moscow does not yet know, and therefore the Kremlin is waiting for "further clarifications".
