The Taliban government ruling Afghanistan claims that "at least 400 people were killed and 250 wounded in a Pakistani airstrike on a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul." Reuters reports this on its website, adding that "Pakistan rejected the claim as false and misleading" and stated that it "precisely targeted military installations and infrastructure supporting terrorism."

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban, said that an attack took place on Monday evening targeting the state-run Omid hospital and that "a large part of the facility was destroyed."

Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that Pakistani forces conducted airstrikes against facilities allegedly used by militant groups (including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and ethnic Baloch separatists) in Kabul and Nangarhar as ammunition depots and logistics centers.
