While the fragile truce in Lebanon is continuously violated by IDF bombings, which have become less intense than in recent weeks but are still ongoing, the Sassari Brigade is also helping the thousands of displaced people , to whom basic necessities and medicines have been distributed.

The 'Dimonios', engaged in the western sector of the UNIFIL mission, are implementing the support actions promoted by the Ministry of Defense as part of civil-military cooperation initiatives to benefit the communities most affected by the crisis in the Middle East.

The Italian contingent distributed aid to displaced persons from areas near the Blue Line, approximately 17,000 people hosted by local reception facilities . Specifically, 600 personal hygiene kits, 2,000 pillows, and 500 packages of ready-to-eat meals were delivered, entrusted to the Disaster Management Unit of the Union of Municipalities of Tyre, a local organization committed to assisting displaced persons.

The activity was coordinated by the Italian contingent's CIMIC (civil-military cooperation) team, in collaboration with local political and health authorities. To complement the intervention, 700 packages of medicines donated by the Italian association "Frontiere di Pace" were also distributed.

The initiative confirms the commitment of the Italian contingent and the Sassari Brigade to contribute, alongside local authorities and Lebanese institutions, to supporting the population and stabilizing the area, within the framework of the United Nations mandate.
