The US is 'determined' to get a deal between Israel and Hamas 'now'. The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken , said this from Tel Aviv where he began a face-to-face meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu .

“We are determined to get a ceasefire that brings the hostages home, and to get it now. And the only reason a deal might not be reached is Hamas,” Blinken said.

Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside his hotel in a show of support for the possible hostage deal. “ We will not stop until you are reunited with your loved ones ,” Blinken stressed. “We will not stop until every man, woman, soldier, civilian has returned home.”
