A young woman originally from Vicenza, Valentina Stragliotto, died after slipping from a waterfall in Sri Lanka , during a trip with a friend.
The accident - reports the Corriere del Veneto website - occurred on September 24 at the Ravana waterfall, in the Ella area.
The young woman was standing on a boulder when she lost her balance, falling from a height of over 30 meters. Rescued and transferred to Demodara Hospital, she died shortly after admission from her serious injuries.
Originally from Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza), Valentina Stragliotto had been living in Brighton, England, for years, where she worked as a digital marketing consultant, specializing in website optimization, online advertising, and multi-channel strategies. She had also developed a personal project, "Aligned & Free," which offers self-confidence coaching.
