With the listing of SpaceX on the Nasdaq, whose market capitalization has skyrocketed to over $2 trillion, the tycoon's personal wealth has soared from around $700 billion to nearly $1.1 trillion.
There was great enthusiasm and thunderous applause at the sound of the bell, as had been the great anticipation that day, with several hundred people gathered in front of the Nasdaq giant screen in Times Square, the iconic seven-story cylindrical LED display at the intersection of Broadway and 43rd Street.
