The shouts of the Nazi slogan "Sieg Heil" followed by the attempt to enter the hotel where young Italian Jews, many from the Roman community, were staying. The incident took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

"Our children are not free to travel in Europe without being exposed to violence and verbal aggression from anti-Semites," said Victor Fadlun, President of the Jewish Community of Rome. "A video documents the despicable provocation, Nazi salutes, and shouts of 'Sieg Heil!' by a group of skinheads wearing black T-shirts with skulls, who attempted to force their way into a hotel where dozens of teenagers, including members of the Jewish Community of Rome, were staying. There were long, tense minutes, especially since, after the police intervened, the skinheads returned and again blocked the entrances, threatening and shouting at our children."

"I express my solidarity with the group of young Italian Jews attacked and threatened inside a hotel in Sofia," Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani wrote in X. "I condemn this latest episode of anti-Semitism, a germ that must be fought, a form of hatred and discrimination that must be eradicated. I stand with President Victor Fadlun and the Jewish Community of Rome."
