Another night of tension on the Russia-Ukraine front. Moscow's Defense Ministry reported that its air defenses intercepted or destroyed 93 Ukrainian drones, in what is being described as one of the largest attacks in recent months. The Tass news agency reported, citing Russian military sources.
According to the Kremlin's reconstruction, unmanned aerial vehicles were detected over several regions of the country, as well as over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Specifically, 45 drones were reportedly downed in the Belgorod region, nine in Krasnodar, seven in Nizhny Novgorod, and four in Voronezh. Another 20 were reportedly neutralized over the Black Sea and four over the Sea of Azov.
It was not immediately clear whether the interception caused any damage or casualties. Moscow claims it was a successful repelling, but Kiev has not immediately confirmed the situation.
