"No one can defeat Russia on the battlefield," Russian President Vladimir Putin said, speaking at the United Russia party congress, TASS reports.

“The Kiev regime is resorting to terrorist methods while Ukrainian forces continue to retreat along the entire line of contact,” the tsar continued.

The West "has failed to defeat Russia on the battlefield, hence its futile attempts to destabilize the political situation in Russia," he added.
