The Russian president met the leader of the "hermit state" Kim Jong-un, with whom he then had a long conversation, which ended with the signing of a treaty for a new "strategic cooperation" between Moscow and Pyongyang.
The contents of the document, however, have not been revealed at the moment. Westerners fear a strengthening of military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, which already supplies the Russian army with ammunition and missiles for the offensive in Ukraine. And from what emerges, the stipulated agreement provides among other things for "mutual assistance" in the event of aggression against one of the two countries.
"Relations between Pyongyang and Moscow are entering a new era of prosperity," Kim said during the conversation with the Russian president.
For his part, the Tsar underlined the common battle fought by Moscow and Pyongyang "against decades of hegemonic and imperialist policies of the United States and its satellites".
