“All of Russia supports the offensive in Ukraine,” Vladimir Putin stressed, speaking at the Victory Day military parade to commemorate the victory over Nazi Germany.
In Red Square in Moscow, next to the Russian president sat his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. About twenty other foreign leaders were also present.
"The entire country, society, the people support the participants of the special military operation. We are proud of their courage and determination, the fortitude that has always brought us only victory," Putin said.
The president then stressed that Russia "has been and will be an insurmountable obstacle to Nazism, Russophobia and anti-Semitism and will fight against the atrocities committed by the followers of these aggressive and destructive beliefs. Truth and justice are on our side."
On the sidelines of the parade, Putin also briefly greeted the North Korean soldiers: "My best wishes to you and all your troops, I wish them all the best."
