The sovereignist Karol Nawrocki won the run-off for the presidential elections in Poland with 50.89% of the votes (10,606,628), while his rival - the mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski - obtained 49.11% (10,237,177 votes): this was reported by the Polish news agency PAP, citing data from the National Election Commission after the counting of all polling stations.

The head-to-head between the two presidential candidates continued with the nightly counting of polls and the fight to the last vote. The turnout was 71.63%. The margin between the two contenders was very narrow.

In fact, both of them, at the beginning of the count, had announced their respective success with Trzaskowski who said he wanted to "unite the Poles" and the conservative who immediately predicted his triumph. "We will win and save Poland", he told his supporters while waiting for the final verdict.
