New revelations on the "offshore" assets and financial secrets of super-VIPs from the world of politics, sport and entertainment, within the "Pandora Papers" dossier prepared by ICiJ, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, based on almost 12 million confidential files.
The cards include, among others, the name of the king of Jordan Abdullah, those of Tony Blair, Julio Iglesias and Claudia Schiffer, Shakira and a small circle of Vladimir Putin's collaborators, including his lover. But not only.
The documents examined are dated between 1996 and 2020, although some date back to the 1970s, and cite countries considered "tax havens" such as Switzerland, Singapore, the British Virgin Islands, Belize and Cyprus.
Among the revelations in the dossier, the one about Abdallah of Jordan, who allegedly used various ghost companies to buy luxury properties in Malibu, California, London and Washington for over $ 100 million.
In the documents there is also the British royal family, which through the Queen's fund allegedly bought a property in London for 67 million pounds linked to the family of the president of Azarbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, accused of corruption.
And the names of Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola also appear. The former allegedly used a British Virgin Islands company to manage its image rights. Di Guardiola, on the other hand, cites an undeclared current account in Andorra.
