A serious accident occurred in New York State, where a tourist bus overturned. The bus, which was headed to New York City, carried over 50 people, mostly Chinese, Filipino, and Indian tourists returning from Niagara Falls.

The five victims are all adults, police say. Some U.S. media initially reported a newborn among the deceased passengers. There were 54 people on the bus, many of whom were not wearing seatbelts.

"Every passenger had some type of injury," and at least two required surgery, police said, adding that the driver survived.
