Following reports of Benjamin Netanyahu's absence from today's weekly Israeli cabinet meeting , the prime minister's office announced that he had suffered "food poisoning from spoiled food and will therefore be working from home for the next three days on medical advice."

The Times of Israel reports. Netanyahu, 75, felt ill during the night and was examined at home by a doctor . His condition was declared good after further tests, his office said, adding that he is receiving intravenous fluids due to dehydration.

"According to doctors' instructions, the prime minister will rest at home for the next three days and will manage state affairs from there ," the prime minister's office said.
