"NATO does not seek war with anyone. But let no one mistake the fact that NATO is a defensive alliance for weakness. If anyone is crazy enough to attack us, we will fight. In short, we will ensure that any attack against one of our allies is completely futile." This was stated by NATO Supreme Commander Alexus Grynkewich, speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum.
NATO's Supreme Commander also recalled that the Alliance's "Theory of Victory" was finalized about three months ago. Grynkewich outlined the Alliance's three phases of action in the event of military aggression: "Block the attack; blunt its force; and only if the attack persists, neutralize the forces launching it."
"The Alliance is unlikely to be caught by surprise. We will be able to detect an imminent attack, giving us time to assess its intentions and rapidly deploy our forces," Grynkewich emphasized.
