Nosebleeds, high fever, severe headache and exhaustion. These are the main symptoms of a mysterious disease that is occurring in Tanzania. In the Lindi region, in the south-eastern part of the country, the government has sent a medical and health team to investigate and take action.

13 cases reported, three deaths. Patients tested negative in various tests, including those for Ebola, Covid-19 and Marburg viruses, said Aifello Sichalwe, first medical adviser to the Dar Es Salaam government.

The ten still infected were placed in solitary confinement. Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan said the Lindi outbreak may have been caused by transmission from animals to humans.
