It's time for the EU to listen to Trump to save itself. This is what Kirill Dmitriev, Russian presidential adviser for foreign economic cooperation and one of Moscow's key negotiators, says regarding the clash between Washington and Brussels.

“Biden’s team,” Dmitriev writes on X, “has completely managed Brussels, pushing the EU down the wrong path: mass immigration, a soft stance on crime, economic and civilizational decline.”

Now, he adds, "suddenly, EU bureaucrats 'don't want US interference' under Daddy Trump. It's time to listen to Daddy and save Europe."

An indirect response from Commission President Ursula von der Leyen came via the same social media: " This afternoon, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held. I updated President Zelensky and the leaders present on two key priorities," she wrote, referring to "support for Ukraine and strengthening European defense preparedness. We all know what's at stake, and we know there's no more time to waste. Securing financial support will help ensure Ukraine's survival and is crucial for European defense. Our reparations loan proposal is complex, but it essentially increases the cost of war for Russia."
