The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced this morning that it has completed a “series of harsh” strikes against Iran, which it accuses of attacking its forces in the Middle East.

The U.S. military has “struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone installations, coastal defense and surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities.”

"These strikes," Centcom wrote in a statement on X, "were designed to further reduce the threats Iran and its allies pose to U.S. forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf states." Yesterday, Saudi Arabia joined the U.S. military action in Iraq.
