Joint motion by the centre-left to ask the Meloni Government and Parliament to vote to revoke military cooperation with Israel.
The leaders of the Democratic Party, the 5 Star Movement and Avs, Elly Schlein, Giuseppe Conte, Angelo Bonelli and Nicola Fratoianni, announced it.
«The hostilities between Israel and Iran – explain the proponents – have catalyzed the concern of world public opinion, diverting attention from the crimes against humanity underway in Gaza and from Israel's plans for colonial annexation of the West Bank».
"We will not allow Italy to be tainted by the cowardice of Meloni and her followers. We have filed a joint motion to request the revocation of the memorandum of understanding with the Israeli government in the military and defense sector and the suspension of any form of military cooperation with Israel", conclude Schlein, Conte, Bonelli and Fratoianni.
Meanwhile, on Saturday thousands of people in the square in Rome at the demonstration against European rearmament with the leaders of M5s and Avs. "We are over 100 thousand", announced the organizing committee of the demonstration . "There are a people, the vast majority, who say that the race to rearmament is madness", said Giuseppe Conte.
