At least eight dead and nearly 2,800 injured. This is the toll of a series of explosions that occurred in Lebanon and also in Syrian territory, caused by a hacker attack, apparently by Israel.

According to reports, hackers managed to use “advanced technology” to detonate the pager devices of some Hezbollah members in several locations: the southern suburbs of Beirut, a stronghold of the Lebanese party; the Bekaa Valley, the armed movement’s rear area; and also in southern Lebanon, where Hezbollah has been engaged in a “war of attrition” against the Jewish state for a year.

According to Hezbollah, the Jewish state would be behind the attack, as stated, and the group's spokesmen described it as "fully responsible".
