Ukraine's SBU security service says it has uncovered a network of Russian agents plotting to assassinate Volodymyr Zelensky and other government officials. The Guardian reports it.

Not the first plan to eliminate the leader of Kiev foiled since the start of Moscow's offensive in Ukraine, which began in February 2022.

Precisely in the first days of the conflict, the Ukrainian services had identified a Chechen unit that would have operated precisely to strike the Ukrainian president.

Last April, however, a man was arrested in Poland , also suspected of having had contacts with Russian services to organize a plan to eliminate Zelensky.
