James Watson, the Nobel Prize winner who helped discover the structure of DNA, has died at 97, the New York Times reports.
American biologist, geneticist and biochemist, he won the prize in 1962 together with Francis Crick.

Watson died at a hospice in upstate New York, where he had been transferred last week after being hospitalized for an infection.
