Israel, knife attack: two elderly people killed by a Palestinian

A woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s died after being attacked by a young Palestinian armed with a knife in Holon, a city south of Tel Aviv in what police call a "terrorist attack".

According to initial information, the attacker was killed by an officer. Police are combing the area for possible other suspects involved in the attack.

Two other people were injured in the attack and taken to hospital and hospitalized in serious condition.

Jewish state authorities said the attack was carried out by a Palestinian from the West Bank.
