The United States has launched its third consecutive strike in the Hormuz area. "We will strike all Iranian capabilities in the Strait ," Trump announced to Congress, also threatening to target the "Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site." The US president then added: "An agreement with Tehran is still possible."
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi reports that Iranian missiles have hit two Emirati oil tankers in the Strait, killing one and wounding eight. And Tehran claims to have struck US facilities in Bahrain.
In an interview with Newsmax, Donald Trump claimed that the US military offensive against Iran had drastically reduced Tehran's military capabilities , saying the country had been returned " largely to the Stone Age ."
According to Trump, since the beginning of the attacks against the Islamic Republic on February 28, US forces have destroyed 159 vessels, approximately 200 aircraft, radar systems, anti-aircraft defenses, and 84 percent of its weapons production capacity. While acknowledging that Iran still retains some missiles and limited operational capabilities, Trump declared that the country is "very different" today than it was four months ago and reiterated that Tehran can no longer act as the "bully of the Middle East."
