Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook, the apps of the Meta world, in "down".
According to Downdetector website there was a peak in malfunctions from 8pm not only in Italy but in various parts of the world.
The messaging app was down for about an hour. “We know some people are experiencing issues right now, we are working to get things back to 100% for everyone as quickly as possible.” This is how WhatsApp writes on his profile about X.
Facebook and Instagram have also had problems. According to the site, the situation is returning to normal while on X, as always happens in these cases, the hashtags #whatsappdown and #instagramdown have appeared. The WhatsApp outage comes a few weeks after a massive outage in the Meta group's apps that blocked users from Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Threads for two hours.
