Controversy over the video of a Chinese influencer, Wang Can , who records himself eating a live wasp . In the images he first makes a grimace of pain, then in the following ones he immortalizes himself with his face and lips very swollen.

Making videos while eating is now a trend in China and beyond and it also has a name, Mukbang. But several young people, in an effort to attract more views, are going much further.

First Tizi, the Chinese blogger who cut up and cooked a white shark. Now Wang: “Even if I'm a little scared, I'll eat it anyway”, says the influencer in the video shared on the Chinese social network Douyin , adding the “dangerous, don't imitate” disclaimer.

The images, which evidently filled up with reports as well as criticisms, were removed and Wang's profile was suspended.

“First of all - the boy defends himself through a new profile - I want to thank those who supported me. Now I will use this channel to give you some updates and post positive, quality videos for everyone ”.
