Germany, new knife attack: attacker killed

Yet another knife attack in Germany , where this evening a man was killed by the police in Recklinghausen , in the state of North-Westphalia , the region of the Solingen massacre .

The alleged attacker, 33, was in a building where several families live . According to witnesses, the man was armed with a knife .

When the police, alerted by someone, arrived on the scene, they "found themselves in a dangerous situation", "following which shots were fired at the 33-year-old ", the police report. Bullets that proved fatal.

An attacker with a knife had already been neutralized and killed in a police operation in Moers on Tuesday evening.
