Gaza, 800 deaths since May at food distribution centers. IDF: "We've learned our lesson."

Around 800 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since May 27 while trying to obtain humanitarian aid.

The figures were confirmed by the United Nations and the report was quickly followed by a comment from the IDF , the Israeli armed forces.

The Jewish state's military said it "learned its lesson" following its investigation into reports of "harm to civilians."

“Following incidents where harm was reported to civilians arriving at distribution centers, thorough examinations were conducted and instructions were given to forces on the ground based on lessons learned,” the Israeli military said in a statement, which also said the incidents were “under review.”
