The number of victims of Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip since yesterday evening has risen to at least 19.

An Israeli army drone strike on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza has killed at least seven people and injured dozens, Israeli and Palestinian media reported.

They add to the twelve deaths in separate attacks on Gaza City and Khan Younis.

Some victims had taken refuge in a tent in the south. Munir al-Barsh, director general of the ministry, which operates under the authority of Hamas, told AFP that at least 11 people had been killed "as a result of attacks carried out by the occupation against civilians in a tent and an apartment."

Barsh said some of the wounded were taken to hospitals in Gaza City in the north and Khan Yunis in the south.

The US-brokered ceasefire, in effect since October, entered its second phase in January, which is expected to include Hamas disarmament, a gradual Israeli withdrawal, and the deployment of an international stabilization force. Israel and Hamas have repeatedly accused each other of violating the truce.
