Flotilla en route to Gaza, Sardinian activist: "We can't wait to get there."
The 48 boats have finally left Porto Palo in SicilyIl video inviato da Marco Loi
The sea off Porto Palo di Sicilia awoke this morning to the roar of 48 boats ready to sail the Mediterranean toward Gaza. Among them, two Sardinian sailors, symbols of a mission that combines solidarity and courage.
Marco Loi, with the words "Sardinia in our hearts" written on his boat, recounts the moment of departure : "We're finally reunited. The Emergency ship is also traveling with us to support and help us. We're very optimistic, our spirits are high, and we can't wait to reach the Palestinians: now there's no more time to waste."
Alongside him, José Nivoi, Sardinian by birth and leader of CALP (Autonomous Port Workers' Collective), known for his blockades against military and industrial vessels, represents the concrete determination of this initiative.
The boats departing from Sicily will now meet the five vessels arriving from Greece, forming a truly international flotilla ready to bring aid and direct testimony to Palestine.
