One person was killed and three injured in an accident this morning at a toy store near Lubyanka Square in Moscow, on the third floor of the Central Children's Store. The cause of the explosion was initially unknown, but emergency services later determined that a gas cylinder used to inflate balloons had exploded. RIA Novosti news agency reported.

"A balloon canister presumably exploded on the third floor," a source told the agency, adding that no damage was reported to the building. The explosion occurred in the Central Department Store, a store entirely dedicated to children, located near the Lubyanka building, formerly the headquarters of the KGB and now the FSB intelligence service.
